Steve came to First Christian Church in 2007 after a 19 year ministry in East Tennessee. Steve is originally from Joplin, Missouri and has been preaching since the age of 18. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Ozark Christian College and the El Paso School of Missions and has degrees in Missions and Ministry. Steve loves preaching, reading, canoeing, kayaking, bike riding, and his wife Ginger (not necessarily in that order). The McClures have two grown children: Ethan and Lydia, both of whom live in East Tennessee. The dog’s name is Gracie.

Music is a wonderful part of God’s creation that permeates our everyday lives. It helps us express feelings of laughter and joy as well as tears and sorrow. Music often communicates in ways that words cannot. At FCC, music is just one of the many ways we communicate the life-changing message of God’s love. Sean married wife Christy in 1991 and they have daughter Elizabeth, son Jonathan, and Jack,the Black Lab. Sean graduated from Atlanta Christian College with a BS in Music / Worship Ministry. His favorite movies include Hunt For Red October, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. His other interests include American History and mystery novels (John Grisham, David Baldacci).

Scott Grey, Youth Minister

Scott was born and raised in Louisville, Ky. He accepted Christ as a teen and accepted his call into the ministry just before graduating high School. He attended Mid America Bible College where he got his degree in specialized ministry and has a minor in counseling. College is also where he met his wife Jenelle who is a native of La. Scott and Jenelle has one son Michael, which is five. It is Scott’s passion and desire for each young person to know Christ on a personal level. Scott says that “youth are not the church of tomorrow they are the church of today!”

Linda became an FCC staff member in January 2007. Her duties include teacher coordinating/recruiting, scheduling K-5 activities, organizing supplies, and assisting the youth minister. She was born and raised in McLeansboro, IL where she attended Pleasant Union Congregational Christian Church (Blairsville). She has a Master's in Elementary Ed and retired from teaching for the Carmi-White County school system in 2005. Her family includes daughter Pam and husband Kevin Hammell with grandchildren Mallory and Shelby; son Kenny and wife Lisa Carter with grandchildren Carson and Cole; parents Morrissine and the late Dale Drew; one brother and three sisters (one deceased). She takes a yearly vacation with her sisters and enjoys flower gardening, walking, family, and two other part time jobs.
