Our Purpose First Christian Church is committed to glorifying God by living like Jesus! Jesus said these are the things that matter most: Loving God and loving people (Matthew 22:37-39). As followers of Jesus, we are committed to doing both. In the simplest terms, this is what we believe it means to live like Jesus. Living like Jesus = Loving God + Loving People What We Believe Our beliefs are simple. The ONE thing you need to know is that we believe in: One Book – the Bible (II Timothy 3:16-17; John 17:17; John 20:30-31) One God – in three Persons (Father, Son, and Spirit) (Genesis 1:1,26; Matthew 28:19) One Savior – Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17) One Hope – Heaven (for the saved) (Matthew 25:31-34) One Destiny – Hell (for the lost) (Matthew 25:46) One Job – Seek and save the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; John 10:27-28) One Body – the Church (Acts 2:47)
